Mondo Mediaworks is launching a new program that will provide marketing services for a worthy fundraising project that benefits the southeastern Vermont community or the arts.
On a semi-annual basis, local organizations, nonprofits and individuals are urged to submit potential projects that they plan to fund via an online crowdfunding service like Kickstarter or Indiegogo. One selected project, with a dedicated benefit to the southeastern Vermont community or the arts, will receive complimentary video production and marketing services from Mondo Mediaworks to help launch their crowdfunding campaign.
Mondo, based in downtown Brattleboro, created the Community Crowdfunder project out of a desire to contribute to community development, and because it regularly receives similar requests from fledgling organizations or individuals that don’t necessarily have a marketing budget.
“We’re seeing a Catch 22 for area artists and nonprofits. They need to raise money for their project, but they have limited resources to market it in the first place,” says Luke Stafford, Mondo’s Chief. “That’s where we want to step in and help.”
Video is a central component to online-based crowdfunding campaigns. Projects with an introductory video have a much higher success rate and offer a chance for the people behind the project to personally tell the story and win the support of potential backers.
For a project with a clear benefit to the Greater Brattleboro community, Mondo will create a professional-quality video for a crowdfunding campaign and support it with a press release and other marketing consultation as needed.
Full details and submission guidelines. Entries must be received by midnight on July 15, 2013.
